NBA Results – Predictions and Tips

As we head down the final stretch of the NBA regular season, there are plenty of teams still in with a chance of securing themselves a spot in the play-offs. Whilst Phoenix look certain to take top spot in the Western Conference, a late charge from the Milwaukee Bucks has left them in a strong position to challenge Miami for the number one seed in the East.

Atlanta Hawks vs Memphis Grizzlies

Although the Hawks beat the Grizzlies 132-100 when these two met at the end of last year, Memphis have since gone on an impressive run which has seen them climb towards the summit of the Western Conference. Desmond Bane and Ja Morant have been crucial in the Grizzlies’ recent NBA results, registering consistent 20+ point games that have seen them go ahead of Golden State in the rankings. Their record on the road is just as strong as it is in Memphis, and they will be favourites to pick up another win in Atlanta.

Prediction: Memphis Grizzlies

Brooklyn Nets vs Portland Trail Blazers

Brooklyn still have a chance of securing an automatic play-off spot, and their recent games suggest they expect nothing less. Kevin Durant’s huge 53-point game against the Knicks was eclipsed just two days later when Kyrie Irving put up a career high 60-pointer in a dominant display in Orlando. The Nets mean business, and they will be favourites to continue their run of positive NBA results with a win over a Portland side missing their main man Damian Lillard.

Prediction: Brooklyn Nets

Miami Heat vs Oklahoma City Thunder

Miami’s NBA results have been a little inconsistent in the last couple of weeks, but they should have no problem picking up a win over OKC. The Heat have won three consecutive games against the Thunder by at least 10 points, and a win this weekend would solidify their position as number one seed. Miami have an extremely well-rounded side, and if Tyler Herro can continue to perform in the big games, the Heat could be a problem for many in the post-season.

Prediction: Miami Heat

Phoenix Suns vs Chicago Bulls

Phoenix have been the most consistent team in the league this season, and bar a major collapse, they will go into the play-offs with the best record in the NBA. They face a tricky task this weekend as they host Chicago, but the Bulls have not typically travelled well this campaign. The Suns have had the better of this fixture in the last couple of years, winning the last four meetings, but Devin Booker will have to be at his best if Phoenix are to pick up another win.

Prediction: Phoenix Suns

Sacramento Kings vs Boston Celtics

After a somewhat lacklustre first half of the campaign, an impressive string of NBA results since the turn of the year has seen Boston climb to within reach of a top two seed. Jayson Tatum has been the standout performer for the Celtics, with the 24-year-old leading the way for points and registering the second most assists and rebounds per game. Boston won by 53 points when these two met in January, and an equally dominant performance could be on the cards this weekend.

Prediction: Boston Celtics

Charlotte Hornets vs Dallas Mavericks

All Dallas’ post-season hopes lay in the hands of one man. Luka Doncic leads the way for points, assists, rebounds and steals per game this season for the Mavericks. Although it seems unlikely that they will go deep into the play-offs, if Doncic is at his best, you never know what might happen.

Prediction: Dallas Mavericks
