Jupiler Pro League: Championship Play-off Preview

Ireland vs Belgium Preview
Genk vs Anderlecht Preview

Anderlecht can move a step closer to Champions League qualification by beating Cercle Brugge as the Jupiler Pro League serves up three tasty midweek fixtures in the Championship round. But with Club Brugge, Union Saint-Gilloise and Genk hot on their heels, Brian Riemer’s men know there is no margin for error at Lotto Park.

Ahead of the crucial fixtures, our expert tipster has run the rule over the latest football betting markets to put together an acca that could prove too tempting to resist. Once you have read up on the games in our selection, why not check out a whole host of sports betting options from 777.be?

Club Brugge to beat Genk – 1.93

Club Brugge welcome Genk to the Jan Breydel Stadium on the back of a fine run of form. The hosts have won their last five matches in all competitions and will fancy their chances of extending that unbeaten streak in front of their own fans. Genk head into the game having beaten Anderlecht in their last outing and will give the home side a run for their money, particularly with the in-form Tolu Arokodare in the side. The Nigerian, 23, has netted three goals in his last four league appearances but Club Brugge’s mean defence should ensure the Blauw-Zwart come out on top.

Anderlecht to beat Cercle Brugge – 1.56

Anderlecht have lost three of their last five league games but Cercle Brugge are not expected to give them any problems, despite losing just one of their last five. Riemer will bank on home advantage proving the difference and his team will be desperate to bounce back after losing 2-1 at Genk last weekend. Anders Dreyer, who netted in that defeat, has been a star performer this season and it would be no surprise to see the Dane, 25, on the scoresheet once again.

Union Saint-Gilloise to beat Antwerp – 2.40

Both sides have endured bad runs but Union Saint-Gilloise are expected to go all out to snap a four-game losing streak. Cameron Puertas has netted in back-to-back games and the visitors can look to the Spaniard, 25, to inspire a much-needed victory. Antwerp picked up a 1-0 win at Cercle Bruges in their last outing but fired blanks in the three games before that, all of which resulted in defeats.
