NBA Weekend Preview

NBA All-Star Game Preview

The NBA season is well underway and there are some early frontrunners to keep an eye on. In the East, it’s the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks who have taken an early lead, with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets, and OKC at the top of the pack in the West. We’ve put together some predictions ahead of the weekend based on the latest NBA odds.

Whether you choose to play with Bet777.be or any other online sportsbook, you can take your experience to the next level with live betting.

Boston Celtic vs Utah Jazz

Boston are surging ahead as favourites to win the Championship after an impressive start. Surprise, surprise, it’s Jayson Tatum showing the early signs of being an MVP contender. He is averaging 27 points and 8 rebounds per game. Supported by Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis, the Celtics look well-rounded and capable of going all the way.

Prediction: Boston Celtics

Brooklyn Nets vs Oklahoma City Thunder

OKC have shocked a few this season and are in the hunt at the top of their division. While we expect them to slow down as the season progresses, we can’t help but hope Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues his ridiculous form. He is racking up 30+ points per game and also leads the Thunder for average assists and steals. They can get the job done against a struggling Nets side.

Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder

Dallas Mavericks vs Portland Trail Blazers

It’s the same old story for the Mavs and Luka Doncic. Inconsistency has seen them take up a rather uninspired position midway down the Western Conference. Doncic looked like a world-beater in the 132-122 victory over Golden State, registering 39 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds. Fast forward two days and Dallas fail to break 100 points in a poor 127-90 defeat in Utah.

Portland have shown signs of life since losing Damian Lillard but it is unlikely they will find themselves with a playoff spot come the end of the campaign. They have also struggled on the road this season.

Prediction: Dallas Mavericks

Phoenix Suns vs Miami Heat

This looks to be a fairly even matchup. The two teams have very similar records. However, we’re just giving the edge to Phoenix on home soil. Their home form has improved drastically in recent weeks, with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant taking the lion’s share of the scoring responsibility.

Miami will undoubtedly bee sniffing around the top six come the end of the regular season. Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Tyler Hierro are a dynamic trio, and one that any team would find difficult to subdue on their day. We could be in for a high-scoring affair in Phoenix.

Prediction: Phoenix Suns
