RWDM vs Antwerp

Antwerp had a day to remember on matchday 25, coming from 1-0 down against Club Brugge to win 2-1 with 86th and 99th-minute goals. The victory saw them move level on points with Brugge, although the champions remain 17 points adrift of the league leaders. While two successive league titles may be out of reach, they will be hoping to challenge those above to secure a spot in Europe’s elite competition.

The hosts, in contrast, sit down in 14th among the relegation playoff spots. They are four points above bottom of the league, two points behind 12th-place Leuven. The hosts have lost six of their previous seven matches, with respite coming only in the form of a draw last weekend against St. Liege. It was a 0-0 draw when these two met earlier in the campaign, but it’s tough to look beyond an away win this time given the contrasting form.

Antwerp to win – 1.60

Charleroi vs Anderlecht

Three consecutive draws saw Anderlecht fall 10 points behind Union at the top of the Jupiler Pro League. However, a victory over Gent on matchday 24 ensured it is far from over yet. They travel to face Charleroi this weekend having not tasted defeat in the league since October. They have been particularly impressive on the road, with St. Gilloise the only side to pick up more away points.

Although Charleroi are down in 13th, teetering on the brink of a relegation playoff place, they have been deceptively strong on home soil. Only six teams have won more points at home. It is instead their away record that has let them down. They have accumulated just three points in 12 away matches, the worst record in the league.

While it will be a tricky game for Anderlecht, anything less than three points will feel like a defeat. It’s quite simply a must-win.

Anderlecht to win – 2.09

Gent vs Cercle Brugge

Gent’s Jupiler Pro League form has been trending in the wrong direction for a while. They are without a win in four league matches, losing three and drawing once. Defeats against KV Mechelen and St. Truiden will be particularly disappointing. Their spectacular home form also seems a thing of the past. Gent have lost two and drawn one of their previous three home games.

While Cercle Brugge’s form has been very inconsistent, they have what every team dreams of, an elite goalscorer. Ahoueke Denkey is the division’s top scorer with 18 goals in 23 matches. Whenever he is playing, Brugge have a chance of earning points. While Gent are heavy favourites, their faltering form is enough to suggest the visitors could nick a point.

Draw – 3.79
