Charleroi vs Genk
There is a lot riding on this game. Charleroi currently occupy eighth place on goal difference but risk not qualifying for the post-season should they drop points this weekend. Having led the Jupiler Pro League 2023 rankings for the majority of the season, Genk could find themselves heading into the play-offs in second place should they fail to win at Charleroi.
The hosts have hit form at the right time and have won five of their previous seven games, putting post-season qualification firmly in their own hands. However, they face a tough task when they welcome leaders Genk to town on Sunday.
After a patch of inconsistency, Genk were back to their free-flowing best when they hammered Anderlecht 5-2 last weekend. They will arrive at Stade du Pays brimming with confidence and should outscore Charleroi.

Gent vs Oostende
Thanks to their far superior goal difference, Gent know a victory on the final day will be enough to retain their spot in the top four. They are unbeaten in nine and have lost just twice at home in the league this season. They rarely lose on home soil, and shouldn’t face too much competition as they welcome an already relegated Oostende to the Ghelamco.
A fourth consecutive defeat sealed Oostende’s fate as a second-division club and they head to Gent having conceded nine goals in their last two games without reply. The pressure might be off, but their confidence will be at an all-time low and they have nothing left to play for.
Gent to win to nil – 2.00
Kortrijk vs Union Saint-Gilloise
Union Saint-Gilloise will be eyeing up the top spot on matchday 34 of the Jupiler Pro League 2023 season. They have done incredibly well to close the gap on Genk post-World Cup and are now in with a real chance of a first league title in nearly a century. They have won five of their previous six league games, and although they have not been blowing teams away, they are consistently finding a way to get over the line.
Kortrijk’s season is over regardless. They are safe from relegation and 16 points adrift of the top eight. They might be motivated by the chance to spoil the Union party, but we don’t think they’ll have enough quality to challenge St. Gilloise on the day.
