KV Mechelen vs St. Truiden

This match features two teams relatively safe from relegation with aspirations of a late charge toward the top eight. Despite getting thumped 5-0 by Antwerp last time out, Mechelen are always favourites on home soil. They have not lost in 10 at home as they prepare to welcome an ouout-of-formt. Truiden.

The visitors have won just once in their last eight, including three defeats in their previous four Jupiler Pro League 2023 games. They do still boast a strong away record thanks to their earlier exploits but have struggled to pick up points in recent weeks.

KV Mechelen to win – 2.25

Westerlo vs Kortrijk

Westerlo lost 2-0 to Standard Liege last weekend but still sit four points within the top eight. The defeat brought an end to their six-match unbeaten streak and was the first time they had lost by more than one goal since October. The hosts are still managing to put together results in spite of losing striker Lyle Foster and they will be favourites to claim all three points on Saturday.

One win in seven has left Kortrijk four points above the bottom three. They are accumulating just enough points to keep them out of danger but will struggle on the road against an impressive Westerlo side.

Westerlo to win – 1.60

Seraing vs Antwerp

Seraing remain glued to the bottom of the Jupiler Pro League 2023 rankings after suffering a sixth defeat in eight games against Cercle Brugge. They are now seven points off safety and look destined to plummet into the second division. Things don’t get any easier as they host Antwerp this weekend.

The visitors are 10 points off the top but could close the gap on matchday 29 when league leaders Genk take on second place Union Saint-Gilloise. After hammering Mechelen last time out, Antwerp will be brimming with confident and should take the points against bottom of the league Seraing.

Antwerp to win – 1.46

Waregem vs Gent

Waregem are another side struggling at the bottom after enduring a seven-match winless run. With 61 goals conceded, they have the worst defensive record in the league, and they have kept just one clean sheet in the league since the opening day of the season.

Gent were back to winning ways last weekend with a 1-0 victory over Anderlecht, taking them to within a point of fourth place Club Brugge. The away side have kept three clean sheets in their last four matches in all competitions and the league’s second top scorer Hugo Cuypers will fancy his chances of finding the net against a leaky defence.

Gent to win – 1.85
