Westerlo vs KV Mechelen
Westerlo are at risk of dropping out of the top eight after winning just once in their last five, but they should bounce back this weekend against Mechelen. Although the visitors have won two of their last three, no team has picked up fewer points away from home this season (4pts from 9 games).
Not only do they struggle for points on the road, Mechelen have also scored fewer than any other team in away games. This doesn’t bode well as they prepare to face the league’s joint third highest scorers (42 goals in 22 games). We could be in for a goal fest at Het Kuipje and Westerlo will fancy their chances of outscoring their opposition.

Charleroi vs Union Saint Gilloise
St. Gilloise simply cannot afford to slip up if they are to keep pace with Genk, and they are showing no signs of doing so. Union have not lost a league game since September and successfully navigated a tricky tie against Leuven last time out. The visitors have won seven of their previous eight away games and were 1-0 victors when these sides met on Jupiler Pro League 2023 matchday 2.
Charleroi are still more than capable of mounting a challenge to the top eight, but we’re expecting them to fall just short against a St. Gilloise side full of momentum.

Anderlecht vs Antwerp
This should be a cracking tie. Antwerp travel to Lotto Park knowing defeat could see them fall 13 points adrift of Genk. In the opposite camp, Anderlecht will be confident in the knowledge that three points could take them to within a point of the top eight.
Anderlecht may have been victorious in their last match against bottom-placed Seraing, but they were beaten by relegation candidates Waregem the week prior. They will have to drastically improve if they are to find a way of stopping Antwerp. The visitors hammered St. Liege 4-1 on matchday 22 and boast a defensive record among the best in the league.

Cercle Brugge vs Gent
Gent’s convincing 3-0 win at St. Truiden last weekend saw them replace Club Brugge in the top four. Gent have now lost just twice in 10 Jupiler Pro League 2023 fixtures and will have their eyes firmly set on the top of the table, rather than those trailing behind.
Cercle Brugge have only won once in five matches and have typically fallen short against those above them in the rankings this campaign. Gent’s Hugo Cuypers is in scintillating form, scoring four in his last three appearances, and will look to capitalise on a Brugge side that have not kept a clean sheet in 2023.
