Genk vs Gent
This looks to be the standout game of the weekend. Genk appear back to their best in the Jupiler Pro League 2022 season and are undefeated since their opening game, whilst Gent are knocking on the door to the top four. The hosts will be slight favourites heading into the fixture for good reason. They have scored an impressive 21 goals in eight games – making them the league’s top scorers – and they have found the net in all but one game.
Genk also have the most in-form player in the league in Mike Tresor Ndayishimiye – the Belgian midfielder has scored five and assisted four already. When you factor in that Paul Onuachu is nearing full fitness following his return from injury, not many will be betting against this team in the coming weeks. Gent will prove a tough test, but they have lost four of their last seven in all competitions and will struggle at the Cegeka Arena.

Eupen vs Union St. Gilloise
It was always going to be a tough second season in the top-flight given Union had some key players taken from them and little budget to replace the talent. However, they have adapted pretty well. Most of the teams you would have expected them to beat, they have done.
They will be favourites to win on the road against a struggling Eupen side, and we expect them to do so comfortably. There doesn’t look to be enough goals in this Eupen attack to mount a real top eight challenge, with another defeat seemingly imminent this weekend.

Standard Liege vs Club Brugge
Since experiencing a slight blip at the beginning of the Jupiler Pro League 2022 season, Club Brugge have turned things around and won five straight league games. In that time, no team has scored more goals or conceded fewer, with Antwerp the only side to have matched their points accumulated. They face a tough test on the road against a rejuvenated Liege, but they cannot afford to fall any further behind the league leaders as they chase a fifth title in six years.
The hosts may have won three on the bounce, but the quality of opposition was far inferior compared to what they’ll face this weekend. Club Brugge should come away with all three points given the confidence they are currently playing with.
