Canadian Grand Prix Preview
Red Bull have proven insurmountable this season, winning every race on the calendar thus far. Max Verstappen has helped himself to five wins in seven races, with his teammate Sergio Perez clinching top spot in the other two.
Verstappen will be a strong favourite heading into the race and many will be predicting another dominant display from Red Bull. The Dutchman topped the podium in Canada last year, just about holding off Spaniard Carlos Sainz to win by less than a second.
The Drivers Championship leader could well come under pressure once again this year. Lewis Hamilton has been steadily improving in the last month, from sixth in Miami to fourth in Monaco and second in Spain last weekend.
What’s more, Hamilton is the joint-most successful driver in the Canadian Grand Prix, tied on seven victories with the great Michael Schumacher. Seven-time World Drivers’ Champion Hamilton knows the track about as well as anyone having won six times at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve from 2010 to 2019.

Canadian Grand Prix Betting Tips
Max Verstappen to win – 1.33
There’s little to no value in backing Verstappen on his own, however, we can see the appeal in adding the Dutchman to a wider bet. He has not finished outside the top two this season and has winning experience on this track after his victory in 2022. The odds are stacked in his favour for a reason.
Lewis Hamilton to win – 12.00
Hamilton is the next best bet. Red Bull are absolutely cruising, but surely it has to come to an end at some point? If there’s one man that can topple the dominance, it’s Hamilton. He has plenty of winning experience on this track and raced incredibly well last weekend to land a second podium finish of the campaign. If he can get close to Red Bull in qualifying, he could push Verstappen hard on race day.
