Roma vs Inter

This is a massive game in the race for the top four and Inter just look to have the edge. They are on a four-match winning streak, including victories over Juventus and Lazio, keeping three clean sheets in the process. Not only have they tightened up defensively, but Lautaro Martinez is in some of the best form of his career, having netted six in his last five appearances.

Jose Mourinho’s side don’t lose too many on home soil, but they are without a win in three games and were held to a 1-1 draw with Monza last time out. A defeat this weekend would put a huge dent in their Champions League hopes, and we think they’ll fall just short.

Inter to win – 2.42

Lens vs Marseille

Victory is crucial for both of these sides who are still attempting to hunt down the league leaders PSG. Marseille are five points adrift of the champions, with an eight-match unbeaten run keeping them firmly in the Ligue 1 title race. However, they will need to overcome third-place Lens this weekend, who are also in impressive form.

The hosts have won six of their previous seven outings, failing only to win against PSG at Parc des Princes. With 43 points collected in 16 matches at Stade Bollaert-Delelis, their home record is the best in the division by a distance. They have lost just once at home in 16 games this season and will be slight favourites to continue that trend.

Lois Openda’s form has continued on an upward trajectory since joining from Vitesse. The 23-year-old Belgian has scored three in his last two games, taking his Ligue 1 tally to 18 for the season. The visiting Marseille will do well to stem his momentum.

Lens to win – 2.25

Newcastle vs Arsenal

Arsenal’s dream of a first title in nearly 20 years could be left in tatters this weekend. Four games without a win surrendered their initiative to champions Man City, and although the Gunners bounced back against Chelsea, St. James’ Park has been a nightmare away trip for many this season.

Liverpool are the only team to beat Newcastle on Tyneside this campaign, and we think it will remain that way in our football predictions. Arsenal will likely dominate the proceedings, and we can’t see them getting beat, but Eddie Howe has turned Newcastle’s backyard into a fortress. This could spell the end of Arsenal’s impressive title charge.

Draw – 3.66
