The final round of fixtures in the 2025-26 Jupiler Pro League regular season was certainly entertaining – and that is actually a bit of an understatement!
Union Saint-Gilloise secured top spot in the table after 30 matchdays with a 3-1 victory at STVV, while Club Brugge finished as runner-up courtesy of a 4-1 home win over Mechelen.
Nicolo Tresoldi was on target once again for Club Brugge in that match, the young striker finishing as the regular season’s top scorer with 13 goals – one more than Anderlecht star Thorgan Hazard.
Hazard and his team-mates lost 3-2 to Cercle Brugge last Sunday, but still made it into the Championship Round alongside USG, Club Brugge, STVV, Gent and Mechelen.
The middle phase of the play-offs, which still presents the opportunity to book a spot in European competition for next season, will be contested between Genk, Westerlo, Standard Liege, Charleroi, Royal Antwerp and OH Leuven.
Interestingly, Genk drew 5-5 at La Louviere on Matchday 30, a result which sums up the inconsistencies currently plaguing the 2024-25 regular season winners.
La Louviere are sadly part of the Relegation Round once domestic action returns after the international break, alongside Zulte Waregem, Cercle Brugge and rock-bottom side Dender.
So, with international fixtures set to dominate the footballing landscape for the next two weeks – including Belgium’s two friendlies vs USA and Mexico – it feels only right to take a look at the latest outright Pro League odds.

So reigning champions USG remain the slight favourites for glory in the Championship Round.
However, the margin between them and Club Brugge is pretty small, which reflects the relatively small gap of three points in the regular season.
USG lost only two games from their 30, winning 14 of 15 home matches – a quite formidable record.
Club Brugge lost seven matches in the regular season, though Ivan Leko’s men tallied the best away record with nine wins from 15 contests on the road.
And with top scorer Tresoldi leading the line, ruling out the Bruges-based side would be a foolish move indeed.
As well as Tresoldi’s vast collection of goals, Club Brugge’s squad also boasts the Belgian top flight’s leading assister in Greek winger Christos Tzolis.
He collected 13 assists in the regular season, two more than Genk’s Konstantinos Karetsas (11) and six more than team-mate Carlos Forbs (7).
