In what is an annual tradition, the winners of the Champions League will take on the winners of the Europa League to fight for the UEFA Super Cup.
After defeating Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid will face off against Italian side Atalanta, who earned their place through their victory against a then unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen.
Although not the most prestigious trophy in Europe, it is one both teams will want in their cabinets and will be taking very seriously.

Real Madrid vs Atalanta
Wednesday, August 14, 8pm
Kazimierz Górski National Stadium, Warsaw, Poland
Live on TNT Sports
The Galacticos of Real Madrid have been there and done it in every major tournament possible and will be unphased when they take to the pitch to once again fight for silverware.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men are fresh off of a Champions League win, as well as numerous stars playing in international tournaments in the summer, with many returning to the Bernabeu as winners.
The team remains largely unchanged from last season and features the likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior. However, they have added one of the most talented youngsters in world football to their ranks in the form of Brazilian forward Endrick.
Their other notable signing may be the only one any team could wish for, Kylian Mbappe. Los Blancos finally got their man and the Frenchman has been welcomed to Madrid as a hero and will be itching to get off to a positive start.
Although, Atalanta are not easily intimidated and are famed for giant killings in Europe. Their intense pressing style and organised squad under manager Gian Piero Gasperini has proven to be a puzzle few can solve.
Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen were famously unbeaten domestically and in Europe for the whole of last season. That is, until they faced Atalanta. The Italian side are a tough test for anyone and will be expected to make waves in both the Champions League and Serie A this season.
Key players Ederson and Ademola Lookman have remained at the club and are ready for the new season, relishing the warm-up against Europe’s best.
But Atalanta have also added to their squad smartly and will be eager to see how the new faces fit into the team. They have signed their loan star Charles De Ketelaere permanently, as well as Everton’s Ben Godfrey and Mateo Retegui from Genoa.
All of these are exciting editions and will no doubt add to Atalanta’s already very strong squad. Some may class the Super Cup as a pre-season friendly but Atalanta will be keen to start as they finished last season, with a shock victory and a trophy.
Real Madrid vs Atalanta Odds
Real Madrid open as big favourites for this game, priced at 1.54 to get their hands on the trophy. Atalanta thrive on being the underdogs and will take no issue with going into the game at 5.80.
