Tottenham vs Arsenal Preview, Odds & Betting Tips

The first North London derby of the season is set to be a pulsating affair as Arsenal head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium looking to maintain their unbeaten start.

Mikel Arteta’s men have picked up seven points from three games in their quest to go one better than last term by winning the Premier League title.

After finishing runners-up in 2023-24, the Gunners would love nothing better than to claim maximum points against their arch-rivals.

But while Tottenham have enjoyed a slower start, with just four points on the board, Ange Postecoglou will be well aware that the Spurs faithful expect nothing less than a win.

Tottenham vs Arsenal Preview

As mentioned earlier, Spurs have kicked off their league campaign in less than emphatic fashion.

Their opening game at newcomers Leicester finished in a 1-1 draw after veteran striker Jamie Vardy cancelled out Pedro Porro’s first-half effort.

Better was to come at home when Everton were put to the sword 4-0 before a trip to Newcastle saw Postecoglou’s side slip to a 2-1 defeat.

Despite being frustrated by the result at St James’ Park, the Aussie tactician, 59, believes consistency is just around the corner.

He said: “The positives are our football was good and has been good in all three games. If we continue to play like that we will get our rewards.”

Arteta, 42, was left fuming after 10-man Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton at the Emirates in their last league outing.

But the Spaniard preferred to point the finger at match official Chris Kavanagh after midfielder Declan Rice was sent off for two bookings.

He fumed: “I was amazed. Amazed, amazed, amazed because of how inconsistent decisions can be.”

Arteta will hope to be amazed for all the right reasons during what is expected to be a ding-dong derby.

But the Arsenal boss will hope Martin Odegaard’s ankle injury he picked up on international duty with Norway on Monday evening is not too serious, as he is already without the suspended Rice and summer signing Mikel Merino this weekend.

Premier League Betting Odds

While the form book suggests Arsenal (2.02) will pick up three points, there is better value in a home win for Tottenham, which is priced at 3.53. However, at 3.68, the smart money may be on a draw.

Tottenham vs Arsenal Betting Tips

With two league goals to his name already this season, backing Kai Havertz to be the first goalscorer at 7.60 may be a wise move. If you would prefer to put your faith in a Spurs player, look no further than Heung-Min Son (8.20) to break the deadlock.

Bet Builder Quick Bets: Kai Havertz to score anytime, Arsenal to win and over 1.5 goals – 4.75

While it may not be a high-scoring affair, there is value to be found in this bet builder selection. In-form Havertz, 25, continues to prove his critics wrong and it would be no surprise to see him net in an Arsenal victory.
