Spain vs England

Preview

To this point in the competition, Spain have been the best team. Manager Luis De La Fuente has shown his expertise gained at youth level to develop a side that smothers opponents, scores goals and claims emphatic wins against top sides. From back to front they have been a well-oiled machine and it is hard to imagine any team laying a glove on them in this tournament.

And England’s defensive imbalances will only give Spain further confidence they can bring the trophy home this weekend. As well as being team of the tournament, they have several in contention for Player of the Tournament, with creative midfielder Dani Olmo rivalled only by England captain Harry Kane for the Golden Boot.

Also, youngsters Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal are showing the world what they are made of, making significant contributions to Spain’s title bid with fluid attacking play and a fearless approach.

England, however, will travel to Berlin as underdogs and with a point to prove in their second consecutive Euros final. The defeat against Italy will still sting and they will be looking to make amends this time around. Questions have justifiably been raised over performances, but here they are, in the final.

Their roster includes the Player of the Season from the Premier League in Phil Foden, the European Golden Boot holder in Harry Kane and a Champions League winner in Jude Bellingham. Spain have shown defensive frailties at times and it is definitely possible to hurt them and with the individual brilliance in the England team, they certainly can.

In a tournament defined by individual brilliance for the Three Lions, they will once again rely on their superstars to deliver what would be the ultimate memorable moment.

Spain vs England Odds

As expected, Spain will enter the match in Berlin as favourites, at 2.44 to lift the trophy. England have odds of 3.47 to complete the upset and win the tournament.

No Eze Way Out

We expect this to be a cagey affair, as most finals are, with both teams looking to avoid mistakes at all costs. But with the quality of both sides, someone is bound to break the deadlock. Both teams to score is at 1.93.

Livin La Vida Roja

As previously mentioned, Spain’s youngsters have been on fire so far and we doubt it is the last we will hear of them this tournament. Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal are 5.30 and 4.60 to get on the scoresheet.

Shaw-ly Not?!

The quality in this England team gives them a puncher’s chance against any opponent and a large part of that in their last games has been Arsenal man and all round nice guy, Bukayo Saka. He sits at 5.80 to score anytime and 12.00 to be the games first goalscorer.
