This midweek is being made even better with a full round of Serie A fixtures.
All 20 teams in the Italian top flight are in action starting tomorrow, with some great games on the schedule – including Atalanta vs AC Milan and Inter Milan vs Fiorentina.
Ahead of the first kick-offs tomorrow evening, we have taken a look at all the fixtures and cherry-picked four online sports betting tips for your midweek football bets.
Let’s begin…
*All odds are subject to change
Atalanta vs AC Milan: Draw @ 3.38
Atalanta are the kings of the draw. Ivan Juric’s side have drawn four consecutive Serie A matches following last Saturday’s 1-1 at Cremonense, while the team from Bergamo also drew 0-0 with Slavia Praha on Champions League Matchday 3. So wagering on a draw in this fixture looks like a sensible move, with Milan also drawing two of their last three matches against Juventus (0-0) and – most recently – Pisa (2-2).
FC Como vs Hellas Verona: Player to score or assist – Nico Paz @ 1.95
Argentine attacker Paz has arguably been the standout performer in Serie A this season, tallying four goals and four assists from just eight appearances. The 21-year-old is understandably attracting attention from Europe’s elite, and Como boss Cesc Fabregas will look to his star man to deliver once again vs Verona. Como drew 0-0 at Parma on the weekend, though did beat Juventus 2-0 on Matchday 7 – a game in which Paz scored late on. Verona are yet to win a game in Serie A this season, and we cannot see them ending that torrid run on Wednesday. A Como victory, with Paz playing a key role, looks a very likely outcome here.
Inter Milan vs Fiorentina: Total Inter goals – Over 2.5 @ 2.40
‘Response’ is the word of the week for Inter following their 3-1 loss at Napoli. And Fiorentina are perhaps an ideal midweek opponent, as La Viola sit 18th in the table and without a win in eight attempts. So an emphatic victory for the hosts at San Siro looks on the cards, and goals have certainly not been hard to come by for Inter this season. Christian Chivu’s side are the leading scorers in Serie A with 19 goals, while their previous two Champions League fixtures saw them beat Slavia Praha 3-0 and Union Saint-Gilloise 4-0.
Bologna vs Torino: Anytime goalscorer – Riccardo Orsolini @ 2.60
Bologna are flying right now, with three wins in the last five seeing them move up to fifth in the table and just four points off leaders Napoli. And the ever-dependable Orsolini has played a key role in recent successes, with four goals in the last five matches. The 28-year-old’s overall tally of five goals means he is the current top scorer in Serie A, which is pretty ominous for Torino, despite their 2-1 win over Genoa on the weekend. Orsolini has also scored in all three of Bologna’s home matches this season, and we fancy him to make it four from four at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Wednesday.
