Chelsea to beat Bournemouth @ 1.63
Only three points separate these teams, who are both chasing a spot in Europe next term, similarly surprising fans by overdelivering on their promise based on last season’s form. Each playing excellent football and scoring plenty of goals, we are looking forward to a match between two incredibly exciting teams. Andoni Iraola has got a tune out of his talented Bournemouth squad, who sit in 7th in the Premier League, while Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea occupy 4th and the last Champions League spot. We are backing the Blues to maintain their strong position this weekend, but expect a thriller at Stamford Bridge.
Brentford vs Manchester City: Draw @ 4.50
Both managers have been complimentary of each other as this season has unfolded, but there will be no love lost when their teams meet this week. Brentford have proved to be an obstacle for even the best in the division this season. With slick midfield play and lightning-fast transitions, they can hurt anyone. And with City still not fully recovered from their recent rough patch, we think the points will be shared.
Liverpool to beat Nottingham Forest @ 1.68
After a shock victory earlier in the season, Forest will be looking to replicate their Anfield heroics and close the gap to the leaders. Astonishingly, Forest are currently 3rd in the league and show no signs of slowing down. Playing superb, efficient football, they are genuinely and deservedly in the conversation surrounding the Premier League title. But Liverpool are in fine form too and looking for revenge. The Reds need all the points they can get to consolidate top spot and put out any sparks of hope in their rivals. We are backing Arne Slot’s side for an away midweek win to move further away from the pack at the summit.
Everton vs Aston Villa: Both teams to score @ 1.80
Points were no doubt the first thing on both of these sides’ Christmas lists as they attempt to scramble up the table. Everton are trying desperately to pull away from a relegation fight that seems to be haunting them. While Villa are seeking to repeat last season’s successes and qualify for Europe. Their form has been patchy, losing two of the last five. The Villans are looking to gain confidence and this is another perfect opportunity to do so. There has certainly been signs of life in the struggling Everton ranks of late, however, we think the revival under David Moyes will have to be put on hold, as Villa should be too much for the Toffees at Goodison Park.
