English Premier League – Matchday 1 Acca

The Premier League is back and we cannot wait for the action to get underway this weekend. With fierce battles set to be fought from the top to the bottom of the table all season, the first game week is critical for setting the tone for the rest of the season.

All 20 sides in this year’s edition of the Premier League have big ambitions to either win the league, play in Europe in 2025-26 or stay in the division – and it all kicks off this weekend!

Bet777 is your number one destination for your Premier League bets. Read on for our tips for your Premier League opening weekend acca.

Manchester United to beat Fulham @ 1.56

The Red Devils will be slightly deflated after their Community Shield defeat to arch rivals Manchester City last Saturday. But with a multitude of new additions to the squad and a seemingly new lease of life for manager Erik Ten Hag, there is a good feeling around their camp and they will want to make a strong start as they aim to be serious title contenders.

But Fulham and new star signing Emile Smith Rowe will not roll over after a strong finish to last season and they look to be set up well to succeed this time around.

However, United should have a little too much for them this early – especially on home soil.

Arsenal to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers @ 1.19

Arsenal will still be hurting from their narrow miss on the title last season but will be more desperate than ever to dethrone champions Manchester City this time around, starting with a confident home win.

The Gunners have added talented defender Riccardo Calafiori to their already strong back-line, hoping he will provide even solidity and much-needed competition at left-back.

Wolves will also look for a confident start of their own on the opening weekend but the loss of Pedro Neto to Chelsea, as well as the presence of a focused and talented Arsenal side, may delay their mission to get precious points on the board.

Newcastle to beat Southampton @ 1.35

Southampton are being thrown straight into the fire this weekend when they will be welcomed back to the Premier League by Newcastle.

The Saints have strengthened ahead of their return but the Magpies will not care one bit as they aim to take the three points and begin their return to European competition for next term.

Newcastle have a few new additions of their own and have crucially not lost any key players as of yet, so we expect a good season overall and a very strong start from them at St James’ Park this weekend.

Tottenham to beat Leicester @ 1.61

Tottenham narrowly missed out on a return to Champions League football last season and will be looking to rectify that this time around.

Having added youth and talent to their squad in the form of Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Dominic Solanke, the onus is on Spurs to make a bright start to 2024-25.

And a trip to promoted Leicester seems to be the perfect way to get off the mark for Ange Postecoglu’s side. The Foxes are in a transition period after losing manager Enzo Maresca to Chelsea, with Steve Cooper now the man in charge.

As such, we can see Spurs enjoying a relatively comfortable victory in the first Monday night kick-off of the new Premier League season.
