PDC World Matchplay Second Round Acca

The 2024 PDC World Matchplay will now enter its second phase and the drama levels in Blackpool are set to increase tenfold.

Ahead of the start of the second round fixtures later this evening, we have provided some betting tips for you to use in an Acca.

Bet777 is the place to be for betting on darts and you can check out all our markets on the World Matchplay.

*Odds are subject to change

Dimitri van den Bergh to beat Jonny Clayton @ 2.10

Former Matchplay winner Van den Bergh goes into his second round match as the slight underdog, with Clayton priced at 1.65.

The Welshman is among the world’s best players and beat Raymond van Barneveld 10-7 in his first round assignment.

However, we still fancy Belgian arrowsmith Van den Bergh to get the job done here, particularly given his past performances on the Matchplay stage.

The 30-year-old beat Martin Schindler 10-6 last Sunday, hitting a nine-darter along the way – only the ninth time a player has delivered a perfect leg in this tournament.

Nathan Aspinall to beat James Wade @ 1.93

We are backing another non-favourite here, as Wade is priced at 1.77.

Wade has regained form of late after a forgettable 2023 but getting past defending champion Aspinall will not be easy at all.

Premier League regular Aspinall has not enjoyed his best year so far but is capable of blowing away anyone when he is on his game.

He beat Luke Woodhouse 10-8 in his opener and we really fancy him to make it consecutive victories in the 2024 Matchplay.

Michael Smith to beat Chris Dobey @ 1.58

Smith was hugely impressive in his first round match against Gary Anderson.

Despite falling 3-0 behind, the former world champ never looked fazed and produced some superb darts to claim a deserved 10-5 victory.

Smith remarkably won seven legs on the bounce and he will really fancy his chances of beating Dobey in Blackpool.

Dobey struggled somewhat in his opener, eventually beating Ritchie Edhouse 10-7 in what was a rather gruelling encounter.

Michael van Gerwen vs Joe Cullen, over 10.5 180s scored in the match @ 1.72

This clash is shaping up to be a Blackpool classic and we cannot wait to see both at the oche.

Van Gerwen is the big favourite at 1.33 but an upset from Cullen simply cannot be ruled out. He is priced at an eye-catching 3.05.

Both of these players are huge scorers and the trebles are all set to take a battering, so we fancy a plethora of 180s to be hit on Wednesday evening.

Van Gerwen will also be in a buoyant mood after defeating teenage sensation Luke Littler in his first round match, the Green Machine winning 10-6 and showing signs of his old self.
