Milwaukee Bucks vs Boston Celtics

Reigning champions Milwaukee will be looking to advance to the next round in front of a home crowd this weekend as they go in pursuit of back-to-back rings. They will take a 3-2 advantage into game six, but Boston won’t go down without a fight. The Celtics could eclipse the LA Lakers as the NBA’s most decorated franchise should they get their hands on the championship this season.

The Bucks have two games to get over the line, and although they are favourites to advance, we could be in for a game seven showdown. Jayson Tatum is having an impressive series for Boston, and he’s the man that the Celtics will be relying on to keep them alive in the play-offs. He’ll have an equally important job on defence, and his ability to nullify Giannis Antetokounmpo will be crucial in deciding the NBA result.

Boston Celtics win – 11/10

Golden State Warriors vs Memphis Grizzlies

The Warriors were many people’s pick for the ring this season thanks to the level Steph Curry is operating at, but the Grizzlies are giving them a run for their money. Unfortunately for Memphis, their NBA results in San Francisco don’t make for good reading, and this weekend could see them dumped out of the play-offs. Golden State have won nine of their last 12 games against the Grizzlies at the Chase Center, and Curry will put on a show this weekend.

Ja Morant’s injury and absence from the rest of the series has cast doubt over whether Memphis can keep up with the relentless point scoring of Curry. They’ve had a good run thus far, but with their main man missing, it looks like the journey will end for the Grizzlies.

Golden State Warriors win – 5/19

Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks

After the heartbreak of losing in the final to the Bucks last season, Phoenix will be raring to go ahead of their game seven play-off against Dallas. The Suns are still searching for their first ever NBA championship, but their heavy 113-86 defeat in the last outing against the Mavericks will have put a dent in their morale.

Luka Doncic has matched Devin Booker thus far, and a place in the semi-final could well be determined by who shines at the Footprint Center on Sunday. The hosts will take confidence from eight consecutive winning NBA results on home soil against the Mavs, but with everything on the line this weekend, anything could happen. Both sides have serious star power, but the deciding factor could be Deandre Ayton’s performance – the 23-year-old center has gone from strength to strength this campaign and his dominance in the paint could help drag the Suns into the next round.

Phoenix Suns win – 2/5
