NBA All-Star Game Preview
‘Greek Freak’ Giannis Antetokounmpo will captain the Eastern Conference side as he looks to secure back-to-back wins for the East for the first time since 2006.
On the other side of the court will be Lebron James’ Western Conference team. Lebron has enjoyed unparalleled success in this event, captaining his side to five consecutive wins from 2018 to 2022.
This year’s All-Star game will take place Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home of the Indiana Pacers. It is scheduled for Sunday 18th February.
East vs West: Which is More Successful?
There have been 66 All-Star games dating back to 1951. The East enjoyed dominance pre-2000 and have won 37 times in total. The West have had control since the turn of the millennium and have now won 29 All-Star games.
Since 2000, there have been 24 All-Star games. The West have won 17, while the East have won just seven. Team Giannis finally ended Team Lebron’s dominance at Vivint Arena, Salt Lake City last year, with Jayson Tatum earning the title All-Star MVP.

All-Star Game Betting Tips
Team Lebron to win
When you compare the two starting teams side by side, it’s hard to look past the Western Conference. They have two of the three top average point scorers in Doncic and Gilgeous-Alexander, as well as reigning NBA champ and finals MVP Jokic.
Luka Doncic to be named All-Star MVP
Doncic is having yet another remarkable season. He currently sits second in the points per game (PPG) table with 34.3, while also ranking third for assists per game (9.6) and second for three-pointers made per game at 3.9.
