The La Liga season concludes this weekend, with Barcelona already confirmed as champions ahead of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal have also secured the other two Champions League spots, with Spain being awarded five qualifiers for the 2025-26 edition.
Real Betis’ place in next season’s Europa League is confirmed too, with Celta Vigo, Rayo Vallecano and Osasuna battling for the second spot in that competition, as well as a place in the Europa Conference League qualifiers. One will fail to qualify for either!
Further down the table, Espanyol and Leganes are locked in a two-team battle to avoid finishing in the final relegation spot, with Las Palmas and Valladolid already down.
Matchday 38 should be thoroughly entertaining and below, you will find some online sports betting tips to help with your La Liga football bets this weekend.

Real Betis vs Valencia: Draw @ 3.75
Betis’ match against Valencia has been moved to Friday evening to give them more time to prepare for next week’s Europa Conference League final against Chelsea. The Seville-based side’s sixth-place finish has already been confirmed, so we expect the home team to rest a number of their key players. And with Valencia now under no threat of relegation, they can play with full freedom in their final match of the campaign. With that in mind, we are predicting an entertaining draw between these two La Liga giants.
Kylian Mbappe to be Real Madrid’s first scorer vs Real Sociedad @ 2.40
While trophies have eluded him, Mbappe’s first season in a Real Madrid shirt has been a resounding success. The Frenchman is up to 29 goals in La Liga and looks nailed on to win the Pichichi, with Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski stuck on 25 strikes. Mbappe will be eager to reach the 30-goal mark and we would be shocked if he did not do so against a Sociedad side with only one win in the last five. Mbappe has been Los Blancos’ first scorer in each of the last three La Liga fixtures.
Ayoze Perez to score anytime for Villarreal vs Sevilla @ 2.08
Villarreal will be playing Champions League football next season and the form of Perez has been key to their success. The Spain international has scored 19 goals in 30 La Liga matches, with five of them coming in the previous four fixtures. And while there is a chance Villarreal may take their foot off the gas on Matchday 38, Sevilla’s wretched form means goals still should not be hard to come by for the Yellow Submarine. Sunday’s opponents have lost 16 matches in La Liga this season and conceded 51 goals, numbers that will have Perez and his attacking colleagues licking their lips.
Athletic Bilbao to beat Barcelona @ 2.79
We end with our riskiest tip of the lot. After confirming the title at Espanyol, Barca lost 3-2 at home to Villarreal last time out, perhaps clear evidence that the majority of the squad are already on the beach. And while Athletic have little to actually play for with Champions League football secured, they may want to give their fans something to cheer after crashing out of the Europa League semi-finals to Manchester United. This fixture last season finished 0-0, but we are predicting Athletic to go one better in 2024-25!
