It is the penultimate matchday of the Belgian top-flight season and drama is virtually guaranteed.
Union Saint-Gilloise are just two matches away from Jupiler Pro League glory, although Club Brugge will still hold hope of catching the side from Brussels.
With six fixtures to enjoy across the Championship Round and Europa Conference League Qualification Group this weekend, it feels only right to provide you with some more betting tips for your football bets online.
Let’s begin…
*All odds are subject to change
Union Saint-Gilloise to win vs Royal Antwerp to nil @ 3.00
If USG win and Club Brugge lose this weekend, the former will be crowned champions. But the Brussels-based outfit may not be thinking about that at all and instead will remain focused on picking up a crucial victory in Antwerp. USG’s defensive record is what has made them champions elect, conceding just one goal in the last six Pro League play-off matches. USG’s previous three wins have all been by a 1-0 scoreline, hence why we are backing them to add three points more to their tally while recording yet another clean sheet.
Kasper Dolberg to score for Anderlecht vs Club Brugge @ 3.23
Anderlecht are out for revenge following the 2-1 Croky Cup final defeat to fierce rivals Club Brugge. Furthermore, they know that a win or draw in this fixture would likely do irreparable damage to the title bid from Nicky Hayen’s side. With that in mind, wagering on Anderlecht to have a major say on home soil could be a sensible course of action. We like the look of Dolberg’s odds to score anytime. While Club Brugge’s defence has been pretty solid of late, the Danish striker boasts 18 goals in 29 Pro League appearances this season, with four of those coming in one home game against Gent on Matchday 5.
Dender to beat Standard Liege @ 2.97
Standard’s play-off campaign has been of the horrendous variety, with eight matches yet to yield a single victory. They have at least drawn three of the last five, but the fact of the matter is it has been a season to forget for the most part. With little – if anything – to play for, we can see Standard slipping to another defeat against a Dender side high on confidence from last weekend’s 5-0 thrashing of Leuven.
Tolu Arokodare to score for Genk vs Gent @ 2.30
Genk’s hopes of winning the title are over after a disastrous Championship Round campaign which has seen them lose five of their last six matches. But there is still pride to play for and Thorsten Fink’s team beat Gent 4-0 on Matchday 1 of the play-offs, with Arokodare on the scoresheet. The Nigerian striker is now behind STVV’s Adriano Bertaccini in the Golden Boot race, so he will need no additional motivation for this one. We fancy Arokodare to increase his current 20-goal tally by at least one on Sunday.
