Union Saint-Gilloise to beat Anderlecht @ 2.19

If USG maintain their positive run, they will be crowned champions of Belgium. Before the start of the Championship Round, the side from Brussels were viewed as outsiders. But USG now sit top of the pile and are yet to lose in the play-offs, claiming a crucial 1-0 win over title rivals Genk in their previous fixture. And we are backing USG to take another step towards Pro League glory this weekend when they visit Anderlecht, who are still reeling from last Sunday’s 2-1 defeat in the Croky Cup final. USG won the reverse play-off fixture 2-0 and triumphed by the same scoreline on a visit to Anderlecht in the regular season.

Gent vs Royal Antwerp: Draw @ 3.47

This is a meeting between two sides really struggling for any sort of form in the Championship Round. Hosts Gent have lost four play-off matches in a row, while Antwerp boast just one win in the last five. So when the out-of-sorts pair meet this weekend, it may be wise to look at the value in a draw. When this exact fixture was played in the regular season, it finished 1-1 – and we would not be shocked to see an identical outcome on Sunday.

Romeo Vermant to score for Club Brugge vs Genk @ 2.79

Vermant must be riding the crest of a wave right now following his match-winning brace against Anderlecht in the Croky Cup final. That performance followed on from another double in the 4-1 win over Gent, so it is safe to say Vermant is a player in seriously good form. Speaking of form, Genk are on an awful run which has seen their title dreams shatter. Thortsen Fink’s side are without a win in five, a concerning phase which started with a 1-0 defeat at Club Brugge. With that in mind, Vermant should feel confident of continuing his hot streak as Nicky Hayen’s men look to keep up with leaders USG.

Charleroi to beat Westerlo @ 1.86

One of the more intriguing matches of the weekend sees first and second in the Europa Conference League Qualification Group lock horns. Hosts Charleroi have won three of the last four in the play-offs, establishing a four-point lead over Westerlo – who have won two of the last three and are unbeaten in five. Although the odds are firmly stacked in Charleroi’s favour, this is quite a hard contest to call. But we are still siding with the hosts as their hopes of European football edge closer to becoming reality.
