Union Saint-Gilloise to beat Club Brugge and both teams to score @ 4.70

To say this contest is important is something of an understatement. USG’s 1-0 win at Club Brugge on Thursday night means they now sit top of the Championship Round table and on course to win the title. So Club Brugge will be out for revenge on Sunday, but USG are in ridiculously good form, winning five consecutive matches in the play-offs. And we are backing them to back it six on the bounce, albeit with the caveat of a goal conceded. USG’s defence has only been breached twice in the last five games, but it is rare that a club with the attacking talent that Club Brugge possesses goes two matches in a row without scoring. In fact, you have to go all the way back to August to find another league match in which Nicky Hayen’s side did not score – a 1-0 loss at Standard Liege.

Anderlecht to beat Gent @ 2.53

Wednesday night in Anderlecht was all about one man; Kasper Dolberg. The Danish striker scored four goals as his side thrashed Gent 5-0 on home soil. After such a convincing defeat, the last thing Gent would want is a rematch, even one in front of their own fans. But that is the case this Sunday and Anderlecht will surely be eyeing another win after suffering four losses in a row to start their Championship Round campaign. Gent’s previous two home matches saw them lose 3-0 to Union Saint-Gilloise and then suffer a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of reigning champions Club Brugge. With all of that taken into account, we cannot quite work out why an Anderlecht win is at such good odds!

Tolu Arokodare to score for Genk vs Royal Antwerp @ 2.20

Genk’s season is falling apart somewhat, with their place at the top now a thing of the past. But at least the form of star centre forward Arokodare is not on the decline. The Nigeria international scored yet again during the 1-1 draw in Antwerp on Wednesday evening, taking him to 20 goals for the season, a higher total than any other player in the Belgian top flight. Arokodare has also netted in Genk’s last two home play-off matches, so wagering on him to make it three from three really does look like a sensible course of action, as Thorsten Fink’s side look to rebuild their title challenge.

Westerlo to beat Mechelen @ 2.30

On Tuesday, Westerlo were able to capitalise on a first-half red card to record a crucial 3-2 win in Mechelen, which saw them leapfrog their opponents in the Europa Conference League Qualification Group table. Westerlo are now just two points behind Charleroi at the top of the pile, a buffer which they could make up this weekend. Westerlo are three matches unbeaten on home soil and even defeated Anderlecht 2-0 on March 9. So we are backing the hosts of this fixture to win and get the second half of their play-off campaign off to the perfect start.
