Genk remain top of the Championship Round table, although Club Brugge are hot on their tails. The two meet in Bruges on Sunday evening.

Franjo Ivanovic to score for Union Saint-Gilloise vs Anderlecht @ 2.60
USG have been a scoring machine in the first two matchdays of the Championship Round. A 5-1 victory over Royal Antwerp was followed by last weekend’s 3-0 win at struggling Gent. The title hopefuls look deadly in the final third and at the forefront of all their slick attacking play is star striker, Ivanovic. The Croatia international scored twice against Antwerp and netted his side’s second goal in the victory at Gent. Ivanovic will have Anderlecht’s leaky back-line in his crosshairs, with Sunday’s visitors still reeling from a 2-1 home defeat to Genk.
Genk to beat Club Brugge and both teams to score @ 6.30
Speaking of Genk, their visit to Club Brugge this weekend could prove to be a defining match in the 2024-25 season. If the leaders win, they would open up a seven-point gap on the reigning champions. If Club Brugge win, the gap is cut to just one point and then we really do have a mouth-watering title race on our hands! Given the recent impressive form of both, it is really hard to predict a winner, but Genk have been the best team in Belgium this season and subsequently get our vote. Club Brugge’s quality on home soil should see them score at least once, though.
Vincent Janssen to score for Royal Antwerp vs Gent @ 2.60
For the third consecutive season, ex-Tottenham striker Janssen is in double figures for goals in the Pro League. The Dutchman is Antwerp’s main man up top and was on target again in last weekend’s 3-2 home defeat vs Club Brugge. And Matchday 3 presents Janssen and his team-mates with the perfect opportunity to get their play-off campaign up and running following back-to-back defeats. Gent have also lost consecutive matches in the Championship Round, failing to score and conceding seven times. So, a Janssen goal to help Antwerp avenge last month’s 1-0 home loss to Gent? It looks like a great bet to us!
Mechelen to beat Leuven @ 1.85
Mechelen were arguably the standout performers on Matchday 2 of the play-offs as they beat Dender 5-2 on home soil. It was the perfect way to follow up a 2-2 draw at Standard Liege and they will be eyeing a second consecutive win in front of their own fans this weekend. Leuven drew 0-0 with Charleroi on Matchday 1 and could only muster a 2-2 at Westerlo last time out. Three points is a must for them to have any hope of Europa Conference League qualification, but we cannot see that being achieved against Mechelen.
