Jupiler Pro League: Matchday 26 Preview

Jupiler Pro League Preview

We’re heading down the final stretch of the Jupiler Pro League season and Union Saint-Gilloise remain firmly in control of the title race. We’ve previewed round 26’s fixtures, picking out some potential winners based on the latest football odds.

Whether you choose to play at Bet777.be or any other online sportsbook, you can enjoy a range of betting markets on all the biggest Jupiler Pro League matches.

Antwerp vs KV Mechelen

The reigning champions Antwerp are starting to find some form at a crucial stage of the season as they look to hunt down the league leaders. They have won three league games in a row, including victories against Belgian giants St. Liege and Club Brugge. Last time out they were 4-0 winners against the newly promoted RWDM, scoring with ease in a game they dominated.

We expect the hosts to continue their winning run against the in-form Mechelen. The visitors arrive having not lost in six matches but they have typically faltered on the road this season. They have won just three of their previous 10 away matches. It will be a close affair and KV Mechelen could well find the net. However, Antwerp should prevail.

Antwerp to win – 1.57

Kortrijk vs Union Saint-Gilloise

Union were held to a 2-2 draw on matchday 25, seeing their lead at the Jupiler Pro League summit reduced to eight points. They will be confident in re-extending that lead this weekend when they take on bottom of the league Kortrijk. Despite losing just once in their last five matches, Kortrijk remain nailed to the bottom, six points adrift of safety.

Union have also dominated this fixture since returning to the top-flight. They have won five consecutive games against Kortrijk, most recently a 3-0 victory in the reverse fixture earlier this campaign. No team has won more points away from home than St. Gilloise and they will be expected to navigate this tie fairly comfortably.

Union Saint-Gilloise to win – 1.38

Anderlecht vs St. Truiden

Anderlecht’s 3-1 win away at Charleroi on matchday 25 saw them close the gap on leaders Union by two points. They are now unbeaten in 14 Jupiler Pro League matches and haven’t tasted defeat at home since April 2023. A large part of Anderlecht’s success is down to their attacking threat. Anders Dreyer has set Belgian football alight since joining Anderlecht and has netted 14 times in 23 league matches this season.

Kasper Dolberg has also started well following his €5 million transfer from Nice, scoring 11 league goals thus far. In total, the pair have scored over half of Anderlecht’s total goals this season.

St. Truiden aren’t in the worst form but they have consistently struggled on the road. They are without an away win since early December, losing three and drawing two in their five games since. That victory also remains only one of two away wins this season. They face a tough task against a firing Anderlecht side.

Anderlecht to win – 1.58
