Anderlecht to beat Charleroi @ 2.72

Anderlecht will be hoping to boost their position in the top six, but they seem a relatively comfortable bet for the Championship Play-Offs. However, making up any ground will require some positive results against top-half rivals.

This is what Anderlecht face this weekend, a determined Charleroi side who sit in 8th, five points away from the coveted 6th spot. But despite potential fatigue from Europa League commitments, we think this one will go Anderlecht’s way.

Genk to beat Standard Liege @ 1.68

League leaders Genk travel to Liege to play a Standard team who, despite a recent dip in form, could prove to be a thorn in the side. After opening up a six-point gap over chasers Club Brugge in recent weeks, the pressure on Genk has been released slightly.

But it is a deficit that could disappear quickly if they become careless. So they’ll still want to be sharp and avoid any potential end-of-the-season comebacks. Standard are hoping to sneak into the Championship Play-Offs, however, their slip in form leads us to think this will be a pretty routine victory for Genk.

Cercle Brugge to beat Westerlo @ 2.23

After a mid-season resurgence that saw an incredible run of wins for Cercle, they have hit the ground again, hard. Without a win in their last three, Cerlce need to rediscover their form to avoid being dragged back into a relegation scrap.

They’ll see a game against a Westerlo side only one place superior – and equal on points – as a perfect opportunity to do so. Westerlo face the same threat of the Relegation Play-Offs and will be equally determined to come out on top. But on this occasion, we’re backing Cercle.

Dender to beat Leuven @ 3.28

Dender seem to be in a position of relative safety, currently ticking over in mid-table and picking up a win last week after a three-game losing streak. They’ll want to keep points coming in consistently, though, to avoid being drawn into unexpected panic as the season closes.

OHL, however, are dangerously close to being at risk of the drop, and with only one win in the last five, their form doesn’t look to be sufficient to climb out of trouble just yet. That’s why we favour Dender in this one.
