We’ve got another massive game at the top of the table on matchday 24 as Anderlecht prepare to host Gent. Anderlecht are still chasing down league leaders Union Saint-Gilloise, while Gent will also fancy their chances of closing the gap at the summit. Gent have typically gotten the better of this fixture in recent years. They are unbeaten in 14 matches against Anderlecht dating back to 2018, winning five of those outings.
However, nine of those games have ended in draws, including their meeting earlier this season. Matisse Samoise opened the scoring for Gent before Kasper Dolberg equalised. That was a very even game. Gent had the majority of the possession, while Anderlecht had better quality chances to score. We’re expecting another very close tie, with neither side willing to lose.

Cercle Brugge vs St. Truiden
Both Cercle Brugge and St. Truiden are sat comfortably in mid-table, with neither really at risk of relegation. However, it is Cercle Brugge who are knocking on the door of the top six and will be hoping to earn a spot in the Championship Group.
As well as being in far better form, the hosts also have a strong record in this fixture. Cercle Brugge have won four consecutive matches against St. Truiden, including a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture earlier this campaign.
