Westerlo to beat Beerschot – 1.41
After a dismal run saw them pick up just two points from five games, Westerlo stopped the rot last weekend with a 2-1 win at Standard Liege. Largely due to the fact they won their opening three Pro League outings, Timmy Simons’ men sit sixth in the table ahead of the visit of rock-bottom Beerschot. The visitors have lost eight games this term and are unlikely to improve their tally of just a solitary point on Friday night.
Genk to beat Kortrijk – 1.52
Table-topping Genk are in fine form and should comfortably deal with Kortrijk on Saturday. A poor start saw Thorsten Fink’s side collect just a point from their opening two games but they have since won seven on the spin. As for Kortrijk, well, there isn’t really much to say. Goals have been hard to come by for the hosts and a record of two wins, two draws and five defeats explains why they were languishing 15th in the table heading into Matchday 10.
Charleroi to beat Dender 2.12
Charleroi have already suffered three defeats but their trip to Dender should not result in a fourth. The visitors have picked up five points from their last three games and will fancy their chances of notching a fifth win of the season. Hosts Dender, on the other hand, have managed just a point from their last three outings. Barring a miracle, this match screams away win.
Standard Liege to beat Anderlecht – 5.70
Considering Standard Liege are below Anderlecht in the table, this pick may raise a few eyebrows. But with just two points separating the sides, an away win is not beyond the realms of possibility. The visitors picked up a 2-0 win at Dender the last time they were on their travels and Anderlecht are on a miserable run of form in the league. The hosts have not won since mid-August, with four draws and a defeat coming in their last five domestic games.
Club Brugge to beat Union Saint-Gilloise – 1.83
With just a point separating them, this is a hard one to call. Union Saint-Gilloise recorded a comfortable 3-0 win over Kortrijk in their last league outing but are yet to pick up a win on the road this season. And that is why the home side are strongly fancied to come out on top on Sunday evening.
