Union Saint-Gilloise to beat Gent @ 1.79
Union Saint-Gilloise can no longer afford any mistakes. Following the humiliation suffered against Club Brugge (5-0), David Hubert’s men must respond immediately if they are to retain any slim hope of retaining their title.
This heavy defeat was a real setback, but USG have already proven this season their ability to bounce back from a setback.
Union are also the winners of the 2025/26 Croky Cup, which confirms the quality of this squad despite last weekend’s slip-up.
Facing an inconsistent Gent side that struggles against the top teams, the Brussels side should put in a completely different performance. With victory a must, USG could come away with all three points.
Club Brugge to beat FC Mechelen @ 1.44
Club Brugge seem on course for the title following their resounding victory over Union. The 5-0 win sent a strong message to the entire league: Leko’s side are brimming with confidence at the peak of the season.
Against FC Mechelen, who are still fighting to stay in touch with fifth place, Bruges are the logical favourites.
The Blauw-Zwart have won their last five play-off matches and boast an impressive attacking force.
With Vanaken and Christos Tzolis in fine form and a perfectly-oiled team, the leaders should follow up last week’s display with another win, even away from home.
