An intriguing fixture between two sides who perhaps did not think they would be competing in this stage of the play-offs at the start of the regular season. Each team suffered a defeat last weekend, Gent’s aforementioned 2-1 loss at Anderlecht preceded by STVV’s 2-1 home failure against Club Brugge. So both sides are looking to bounce back here, which should pave the way for an entertaining match.
