Gent to beat Dender @ 1.72
Dender’s start to the 2025-26 season has been rather concerning – to say the least! Rock bottom of the Pro League and on a run of five consecutive defeats, the writing is on the wall for Dender. Gent are not exactly on the best run of form, but did pick up a vital 2-1 win at Royal Antwerp last weekend after two consecutive draws against Mechelen and Club Brugge. However, it still represents a run of three matches unbeaten, which is part of the reason why we are backing Gent to see off struggling Dender on home soil.
OH Leuven vs La Louviere: Over 2.5 goals in the match @ 2.18
La Louviere shocked the Belgian football world last weekend by securing a 1-0 home win over Club Brugge. It was their second big result against a top side following a 0-0 draw with champions Union Saint-Gilloise on Matchday 5. But the fact of the matter is La Louviere are still 14th in the table, while Leuven are one place behind on goal difference. So this is a real relegation scrap between two teams capable of producing a result, which leads us to believe there could be goals in this one. Hosts Leuven have already conceded 14 times this season, the worst total in the whole division.
Anderlecht vs Royal Antwerp: Anytime goalscorer – Luis Vazquez @ 2.38
Kasper Dolberg has joined Ajax and Adriano Bertaccini is out injured, but Anderlecht still have another top striker to call upon in Vazquez. The Argentine forward found the back of the net in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Genk, which was his first goal of the campaign. Vazquez is likely to resume his role as Anderlecht’s attacking focal point for the visit of Antwerp, and he will be eyeing another goal. Antwerp conceded twice in each of their last two Pro League fixtures (both of them defeats) and are yet to keep a single clean sheet this season – which will be music to the ears of Vazquez and Thorgan Hazard.
Westerlo to beat Standard Liege @ 1.85
One of Antwerp’s two recent defeats saw them beaten 2-0 by Westerlo, who followed up that result with a stunning 3-0 victory at second-placed STVV last weekend. And for Westerlo, they could not have asked for a better time to play Standard Liege, who are on a four-game winless run after a bright start to the new campaign. Furthermore, Westerlo did not lose any of the four games played against Standard last campaign, with two draws in the play-offs preceded by two victories in the regular season – including a 4-2 home win.
