Mechelen to beat Standard Liege @ 2.66

The Friday night fixture is a very intriguing clash between two sides who will have aspirations of making it into the Championship Round come the end of the regular campaign. At this point in time, Mechelen looks the most likely, currently sitting third with three wins from six matches. Friday’s hosts Standard are now way back in 9th, having ruined their decent start to the season with three consecutive defeats. Furthermore, the side from Liege failed to score a single goal in those three contests, which does not bode well for this fixture. So Mechelen get our nod of approval, even though they have won only one of three away matches so far this season.

Raul Florucz to score anytime for Union Saint-Gilloise vs Dender @ 2.85

As many fans of Belgian football predicted, Union Saint-Gilloise have begun the season impressively, sitting top of the table ahead of Matchday 7 with four wins from six. The team from Brussels have also scored 14 goals, the most in the division, and Florucz is responsible for four of them. The Pro League’s joint-top scorer is enjoying a fantastic start to the campaign, netting from the penalty spot in the 2-0 win over Anderlecht before the international break. Can he repeat the feat away at Dender? Well, we certainly like the look of the odds – especially as Dender are bottom of the table with zero wins and nine goals conceded!

La Louviere vs Club Brugge: Both teams to score – No @ 1.98

Club Brugge are, of course, the heavy favourites to win this contest, which prompted us to look for better value in other markets. And this BTTS selection really caught our eye. La Louviere have scored just one goal at home so far this season, failing to find the back of the net against Standard and USG. Furthermore, Club Brugge have kept clean sheets in two of their last four away matches across all competitions. So we are banking on another defensive statement from Nicky Hayen’s men, as they look to keep pace with those above them.

Royal Antwerp to beat Gent @ 2.26

Neither Antwerp or Gent has started the season particularly well, though the former is four points clear of the latter having played a game more. So it is no surprise that the odds in the Match Result market are incredibly close. But Antwerp’s home form in 2025/26 thus far is the decisive factor here, already claiming wins over Leuven and Mechelen, as well as a credible 1-1 draw with USG on Matchday 1. Gent are yet to taste victory on their travels this season, a trend we can see continuing on Sunday.
