Anderlecht have started the Pro League season in superb fashion with back-to-back victories. Furthermore, Besnik Hasi’s side have netted seven goals after securing a 2-0 win at Cercle Brugge last Sunday. Thorgan Hazard scored his third goal of the campaign from the penalty spot, before summer arrival Adriano Bertaccini sealed the win with a strike off the bench. Anderlecht’s attack looks fluid and dangerous, which spells danger for newly-promoted Zulte Waregem, who enter this fixture on the back of a 3-1 loss to Westerlo.
Vincent Janssen to score anytime for Royal Antwerp vs OH Leuven @ 2.40
Royal Antwerp are yet to record a win in the Pro League this season, though they have had tough assignments. Draws (each of them 1-1) against Union Saint-Gilloise and Genk is pretty good going in fact, and talisman Janssen netted the goal in each of those games. The Dutchman continues to enjoy Pro League life and he will be licking his lips at the prospect of facing a Leuven defence which conceded five goals just last weekend.
Standard Liege vs Genk: Under 2.5 goals in the match @ 1.83
Our final tip for the weekend’s football is focused on one of the more intriguing clashes. Standard Liege have started the season in promising fashion after a dismal end to 2024-25, while Thorsten Fink’s Genk side are searching for a first victory. Hosts Standard are looking strong defensively, while Genk’s attack has not clicked for quite some time now, with last season’s top scorer Tolu Arokodare strangely unable to get into the starting XI. As such, the under 2.5 goals market looks a pretty safe selection to us, a bet which would have landed in Standard and Genk’s Matchday 2 fixtures. The former drew 1-1 with Dender, while the latter drew 1-1 with Royal Antwerp.
