Club Brugge to beat Royal Antwerp @ 1.60
Club Brugge are the form team in the Pro League right now, unbeaten in the last five matches and recording wins in four of them. As for Antwerp, their pre-season plans are certainly not coming to fruition, and a surprise relegation battle looks firmly on the cards. Antwerp are winless in their previous five top-flight matches, losing three of them following last weekend’s 1-0 defeat at Standard Liege. So even with home advantage and Club Brugge fresh from a 4-0 thrashing by Bayern Munich in the Champions League, we would be shocked to see anything but a win for Nicky Hayen’s men.
Cercle Brugge vs Zulte Waregem: Anytime goalscorer – Jeppe Erenbjerg @ 3.60
After his brace in the 4-1 home win over Gent last weekend, Erenbjerg is now the top scorer in the Pro League with six goals. The Dane is emerging as a serious talent, one capable of playing multiple positions in the forward department. This weekend, Erenbjerg will be eyeing more goals against a Cercle Brugge side without a win in five matches. He has scored in three of his last six Pro League outings, while the hosts from Bruges have kept just one clean sheet since the start of September.
STVV to beat Union Saint-Gilloise @ 7.50
Okay, this is our riskiest Pro League betting tip for quite some time, but hear us out. USG enter the match on the back of a 4-0 home defeat vs Inter Milan in the Champions League. It was a repeat of their previous European match, which saw Newcastle claim a 4-0 victory in Belgium. And USG followed that defeat to the Magpies by losing 1-0 at Club Brugge, their first league defeat of the season. So there is a chance that a Champions League thrashing may once again hinder USG in their efforts to remain top of the tree in the Pro League. STVV were on a three-match losing streak, but have since mustered a 3-1 win over Mechelen and, most recently, a 2-2 draw with Anderlecht. So do not rule out a shock here…
Mechelen to beat OH Leuven @ 2.22
We are quite surprised to see how good the odds are for Mechelen to claim the win here, especially as they are at home. Leuven are 15th in the table and on a run of four defeats in five matches, while Mechelen are 4th with two wins in the last three. So while the table can sometimes be a little bit deceiving when it comes to sports betting – particularly in the earlier stages of a season – this selection just screams ‘value’!
