Gent to beat Charleroi @ 2.06

Tonight’s game sees Gent looking to make it four wins from five in the Pro League after a tough start to the new campaign. Last week’s 4-2 success at Cercle Brugge was a top performance, one which they will look to repeat later this evening. After putting together a run of three consecutive victories, Charleroi have lost the last two in the Belgian top flight to Zulte Waregem and Mechelen – both of those defeats coming on home soil. Away from their own stadium, Charleroi have won each of the last two, but Gent possess the form and quality to put an end to that positive run.

La Louviere vs Zulte Waregem: Both teams to score – Yes @ 1.79

The two newly-promoted sides are certainly not finding life too difficult in the Pro League, which sets us up for a fantastic match here. Zulte Waregem are on a three-match winning streak, with victories over Leuven, Charleroi and Royal Antwerp seeing them climb to 7th in the table, just outside the Championship Round places. La Louviere boast two wins and one draw from their previous three encounters, a run which includes the famous 1-0 triumph over Club Brugge on September 13. Last weekend’s 0-0 draw with rock-bottom Dender was a disappointment, but La Louviere can bounce back. Predicting the result here is tough, however, we feel confident both teams will find the back of the net.

Club Brugge vs Union Saint-Gilloise: Draw @ 3.66

The headline fixture of Matchday 10 sees the top two go head-to-head at the Jan Breydel Stadium. Table-toppers Union Saint-Gilloise suffered their first major setback of the season on Wednesday evening, as they were thrashed 4-0 by Newcastle in the Champions League. Club Brugge also suffered a 2-1 defeat at Atalanta the previous day, though their performance was far less concerning overall. But USG have won their last four matches in the Pro League, and are yet to lose in the division this season – possessing an eye-catching goal difference of +15. So Club Brugge know they have their work cut out here, especially as their last home match was the famous 5-5 draw with Westerlo. Expect a more conservative game this time around, one in which we think the points will be shared. Interestingly, three of the last four meetings between USG and Club Brugge in the Pro League ended all square.

Anderlecht vs Standard Liege: Total goals – Under 2.5 @ 1.97

With three draws and a win from the last four, Anderlecht are struggling to get their season fully up and running. Scoring goals has become a chore of late for the Mauves, with only three tallied in the previous five top-flight clashes. Standard are not exactly formidable in the final third either, as they are one of just five teams yet to reach double figures for goals in the Pro League this term. So all signs point to a low-scoring derby, which it was back in March when Anderlecht claimed a 2-0 win at Standard.
