Gent vs Standard Liege

An undefeated play off run has seen Gent firmly establish themselves as the best of the rest in the Jupiler Pro League 2023 campaign. They have won four of their five games and head into the final fixture under no pressure having already confirmed their spot in next year’s European competition.

In contrast, Liege probably need a result to avoid finishing bottom of the Conference group. They have lost three and drawn two of their five post-season outings and have failed to score in back-to-back games ahead of their trip to the Ghelamco. Gift Orban and Hugo Cuypers have scored 10 goals between them since the end of the regular season and will be looking to finish the season on a high against a deflated Standard side.

Gent to win – 1.41

Union Saint-Gilloise vs Club Brugge

Three points will be the only thing on Union Saint-Gilloise’s mind as they prepare to host the reigning champions. They are tied on points with league leaders Antwerp, who face third place Genk on the final day. Any one of those three can still lift the trophy.

Since losing their first play off match against Antwerp, Union have gone unbeaten in four, beaten Genk 3-0 in their last home match. At this point, Club Brugge are playing solely for pride. They have lost four of five and will struggle on the road against a Union side fighting tooth and nail to lift their first top-division title since the 1950s.

Union Saint-Gilloise to win – 1.54

Genk vs Antwerp

All eyes will be on the Cegeka Arena, with this game deciding the outcome of the Jupiler Pro League 2023 campaign. It is a win-at-all-costs outing for both, and we’re just about siding with Genk. The home crowd will be bouncing and the hosts will be back at full strength for the most important game of the season.

After three consecutive wins, Antwerp’s form has dipped at the worst time, resulting in a 2-0 defeat to Brugge and a 1-1 draw with 10-men Union. Vincent Janssen is firing with two goals in his last three appearances, but we fancy Genk to outscore the visitors.

Genk to win – 2.37
