Union Saint-Gilloise vs Eupen

Could it finally be Union’s year? They sit top of the table heading into matchday 11, one point clear of second-place Anderlecht and five clear of champions Antwerp. They ran away 4-0 victors against St. Truiden before the break, and we’re expecting a similar sort of scoreline when they take on Eupen this weekend.

The visitors have lost five consecutive matches, including their last three away from home. In that poor run, they have conceded 3+ goals on three separate occasions. We can’t see them turning their form around against this high-flying Union side.

Union Saint-Gilloise to win – 1.26

Charleroi vs Antwerp

Champions Antwerp extended their Jupiler Pro League unbeaten run to eight matches last time out with a dominant 4-1 win at home against Eupen. They will fancy their chances of climbing the table this weekend as they prepare to travel to take on Charleroi, who currently sit 13th with just 10 points from as many matches.

The hosts’ two wins this season have come against newly promoted RWDM and bottom-of-the-league Kortrijk. They’d need to put together their best performance of the campaign to have a chance at claiming even just a single point.

Antwerp to win – 2.15

Genk vs KV Mechelen

After a strong start to the Jupiler Pro League season, four successive league draws have seen Genk fall to midtable, seven points adrift of frontrunners Union Saint-Gilloise. Remarkably, they are undefeated since August but have only won two games since then.

We’re backing the hosts to get back to winning ways this weekend when they take on KV Mechelen. The away side have lost three of their last four outings, including disappointing defeats against St. Truiden and Leuven, and things don’t get any easier as they travel to the Cegeka Arena. Despite struggling to get wins on the board, Genk will be handed confidence by the form of star players Joseph Paintsil and Bilal El Khannouss. The pair should help Genk to all three points on matchday 11.

Genk to win – 1.52

Standard Liege vs Anderlecht

After failing to win in their opening six Jupiler Pro League games, St. Liege are beginning to find their feet. They are now undefeated in six, with three victories in their previous four outings. They have typically been stronger on home soil in years gone by and their last home game was a 2-1 win against Club Brugge.

However, Anderlecht are also in fine form. They have not lost in nine matches since the opening game of the campaign, with back-to-back wins against Eupen and KV Mechelen taking them to within one point of the top of the table. It should be a close game in Liege between two in-form outfits.

Draw – 3.41
