The Formula 1 roadshow heads to Monza this weekend for the latest edition of the Italian Grand Prix.
It is a race that is adored worldwide, and one which each driver is desperate to win – particularly those who represent Ferrari!
But with the famous Italian brand failing to really get near runaway leaders McLaren this season, it will take something special from either Charles Leclerc or Lewis Hamilton to deliver a first-place finish at Monza this weekend.
Although Leclerc did win this race last year – so maybe there is hope!

Italian Grand Prix Preview
Last year, Leclerc finished ahead of McLaren pair Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris to secure a famous win at Monza.
Repeating that feat looks a tall order, though. Piastri and Norris are clear of the pack at the top of the Driver’s Championship, with the former winning last weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix.
Piastri or Norris has won the last five races on the F1 calendar, with the pair enjoying significant dominance on the European tracks.
Will that trend continue this weekend in Italy? You would be a fool to bet against another successful race for McLaren, though Norris did not finish the Dutch GP, with Max Verstappen occupying second spot and Isack Hadjar surprisingly taking third.
Both Leclerc and Hamilton were also unable to finish last weekend’s race, and a repeat of that in Italy would be an absolute disaster for the Ferrari men.

Top 3 Finish – Lewis Hamilton @ 10.00
We are perhaps falling foul of nostalgia with regard to this selection, but never rule out a return to form for Hamilton at Monza. The British star has won this race five times, the joint-highest total alongside Michael Schumacher. Hamilton on the podium in his first outing at Monza with Ferrari? Some would say it is written in the stars – even with a five-place grind penalty!
Both Cars Top 6 Finish – Mercedes @ 2.50
Russell has finished in the Top 6 in each of the last three GPs, a run which includes a fourth-place spot secured in the Netherlands last weekend. Italian star Antonelli has finished inside the Top 6 on six occasions this season, including a third-place finish in Canada, so this selection could be a pretty good source of value.
