European Football Weekend Acca

European club football returns after the international break and fans across the continent will be watching closely as their teams look to build on promising starts or get back to winning ways.

In Germany, Heidenheim lead the Bundesliga on goal difference from serial winners Bayern Munich and Marco Rose’s RB Leipzig after two games.

But while they bid to maintain the momentum after finishing eighth last season, attention will quickly turn to England as Erik ten Hag battles to appease Manchester United fans following back-to-back defeats.

United, who have picked up just three points from three Premier League games, are widely expected to beat newcomers Southampton at St Mary’s.

Yet we have included the Saints in a weekend acca that could return more than €1,400 from a €5 stake, supercharged by a boost of 8%!

Before you think about placing a football bet, be sure to read all about why Russell Martin’s side are among our five weekend picks.

And do not forget that we have markets on more than just football, with all major sports included in the Bet777 sports betting offering.

Heidenheim to beat Borussia Dortmund – 7.70

*All odds are subject to change

Heidenheim will have their work cut out to beat Borussia Dortmund on home soil but confidence is bound to be high after wins over FC St. Pauli and Augsburg. What makes those victories all the more impressive is that Frank Schmidt’s side scored six goals across the two games without conceding.

Southampton to beat Manchester United – 4.40

Southampton have yet to pick up a point since returning to the Premier League but there is arguably more pressure on United after a miserable start to the campaign. Ten Hag’s side edged past Fulham thanks to a late Joshua Zirkzee goal but slipped to defeat at Brighton before getting thumped 3-0 at home by fierce rivals Liverpool.

Real Madrid to beat Real Sociedad – 1.72

Despite an unbeaten start to their league campaign, Real Madrid already find themselves four points adrift of La Liga leaders Barcelona. But having seen his side record two wins and two draws, Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti will not be reaching for the panic button just yet. Victory at Real Sociedad on Saturday night will go some way to easing any fears that the reigning champions have gone off the boil.

Nantes to beat Stade Reims – 2.35

With seven points from their opening three games, Nantes will be confident that home advantage can help them see off Reims. The visitors are only three points behind in the table but a goal difference of minus one will no doubt be playing on the minds of the travelling fans so early in the season.

Napoli to beat Cagliari – 1.86

Now that Victor Osimhen is out of the picture, Antonio Conte will be hoping his squad can put a hectic transfer window behind them and build on the back-to-back victories picked up prior to the international break. Conte’s men crashed to a 3-0 defeat at Verona in their opening Serie A game but rebounded by putting three past Bologna, before beating Parma 2-1. Lowly Cagliari should not pose any problems at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
