Tottenham vs AZ Alkmaar: Draw @ 4.40
Speaking of Europe’s biggest sides, one of the tournament favourites in Spurs need a stellar second-leg display to keep their Europa League hopes alive. Ange Postecoglou’s men lost 1-0 in Alkmaar last week, in what was one of their worst performances of the season. Last Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League did little to silence the critics either. What is more, AZ have also proven the ability to hold their own away from home in Europe this season by drawing 2-2 at Galatasaray in the play-offs. Of course, Spurs are still big favourites to win in North London, but we are instead tipping them to crash out of the competition, ending their chances of lifting silverware for yet another season.
Olympiacos vs Bodo/Glimt: Draw @ 4.20
Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt have one foot in the quarter-finals after a superb 3-0 first-leg win. That result means Olympiacos have no option but to come out firing on Thursday and this could pave the way for the visitors to catch them on the counter. But we also expect the Greek side to find the back of the net, as they nearly always do at home. So this is why we are backing the draw in this match, because it is a great way to boost those acca odds!
Rangers to beat Fenerbahce @ 2.53
No one predicted Rangers to leave Istanbul with a positive result, especially against a team managed by Jose Mourinho. But the Scottish side pulled off a shock 3-1 win and they will now have ambitions of going all the way. Fenerbahce face the daunting task of trying to overturn a two-goal deficit at Ibrox and even though Mourinho can call on experienced heads like Edin Dzeko and Dusan Tadic, the Turkish side may very well come up short again. Interestingly, Rangers have lost their last three home matches across all competitions, a run they will be eager to end against a European powerhouse.
Lyon to beat FCSB @ 1.25
We finish with a relatively straightforward tip. Lyon were too strong for FCSB in the first leg, winning 3-1 in Romania. The French side followed that up with a 2-0 victory at Nice, making it five wins from the last six across all competitions, with 17 goals scored in those matches. So expect another routine win for Lyon as they strengthen their claim as potential winners of the competition.
