Genk vs Real Betis Preview
Genk started their Europa League campaign with a famous 1-0 win at Ibrox vs Rangers, but then slipped up on Matchday 2, losing 1-0 at home to Hungarian side Ferencvaros.
Betis drew 2-2 with Nottingham Forest in their opener, before beating Bulgarian outfit Ludogorets away from home in their previous match.
Since those contrasting results on Matchday 2, both sides have recorded one win and one draw in league action.
Genk beat Dender 2-1 and then drew 2-2 at Cercle Brugge on the weekend, while Betis followed up a 2-1 win at Espanyol with a commendable 2-2 away draw vs Villarreal.
Betis have only suffered one league defeat all season, while Genk’s record of four wins, three draws and four losses in the Jupiler Pro League is certainly nothing to celebrate.
Thorsten Fink’s side are unbeaten in the previous three league matches, though, which suggests that they are finally starting to find some level of consistency after a poor start to the campaign.
And with home advantage, Genk simply have to make a statement against a tough opponent in Betis, who boast some talented players in the squad – including Argentina international Giovani Lo Celso and ex-Manchester United winger Antony.

Genk vs Real Betis Betting Tips
Total goals – Over 2.5 @ 1.71
Looking at recent results, this selection would have landed in four of the previous six matches for both of these sides. Furthermore, Betis scored at least two goals in all of their six matches, while Genk netted twice in three of them. So with the numbers supporting it, this could be a great bet to include as part of a Europa League accumulator.
Draw no bet – Genk @ 2.20
Genk have lost three of their last four home matches across all competitions, so this selection represents a bit of a risk. But four of Betis’ six away matches in 2025-26 finished as a draw, keeping just one clean sheet overall. As such, this could be a small risk worth taking, especially as two of the three possible match outcomes are covered.
