The EuroLeague makes its triumphant return next Tuesday after a prolonged summer break.
Widely regarded as the second-biggest division in professional basketball, behind only the NBA, we are all set for yet another fiercely-competitive season.
Before you look at the array of online basketball odds on offer for the first round of EuroLeague fixtures, check out our preview, which is complete with the latest outright sports betting odds.
Let’s begin…
EuroLeague 2025/26: All You Need to Know
This is all set to be the biggest EuroLeague season yet, with the league expanding from 18 teams to 20.
Hapoel Tel Aviv (promoted from EuroCup), Valencia Basket (promoted from EuroCup) and Dubai Basketball (wildcard pick) are the three new teams in the division, with German side ALBA Berlin dropping out to instead play in the FIBA Champions League tournament.
So this means more games (a minimum of 396) than ever – and more potential betting opportunities! Thirty-eight rounds of matches will be played instead of 34, with the regular season starting on September 30 and finishing on April 17.
And the EuroLeague Final Four, one of the biggest events on the Belgian sporting calendar, is pencilled in for next May, with the semi-finals taking place on the 22nd and the championship game on the 24th. Get those dates in your diary!
Turkish side Fenerbahce are the defending EuroLeague champions after beating Monaco 81-70 in the most recent final.
Fenerbahce also defeated pre-season favourites Panathinaikos 82-76 in the semi-finals, so the side from Istanbul are certainly to be feared once again in 2025-26.
That being said, only one team has successfully defended the EuroLeague title since 2015, which was Anadolu Efes in 2021 and 2022.
And Fenerbahce will, of course, face stiff competition from their rivals in 2025-26, with all the big teams in the EuroLeague strengthening their squads ahead of the new season’s start.
Panathinaikos and Olympiacos are arguably the two best sides in Europe on paper right now, with world-class players in their ranks such as Sasha Vezenkov and Kendrick Nunn.
And let’s not forget about Real Madrid, who remain the most successful team in this competition’s history, with 11 victories overall.
Of course, Monaco – spearheaded by the brilliance of Mike James and Nikola Mirotic – look certain to be a threat again after their runner-up finish in 2024-25, while Hapoel Tel Aviv have a taste for success following their EuroCup win last season.
So, let’s take a look at the latest outright odds…
