It is nearly time for the semi-finals of the exciting Euroleague.
One of the biggest competitions in basketball – and the highest tier of the sport in Europe – it promises to be a fantastic weekend of action at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
Greece are well represented in the play-offs, with Olympiacos and Panathinaikos each making the cut.
Panathinaikos are looking to retain the title they won in 2023-24, with Turkey’s Fenerbahce standing in their way in the semis.
Olympiacos are looking to win the title for the first time since 2012-13, while their opponents Monaco can become the maiden side from France to lift the famous trophy.
Below, we have previewed both enticing basketball semi-finals, with some handy tips that you can use in your weekend bet.
Fenerbahce vs Panathinaikos & Olympiacos vs Monaco Preview
In the four-game quarter-final ties, Fenerbahce defeated Paris, while Panathinakois beat Anadolu Efes.
Olympiacos got the better of record 11-time winners Real Madrid and another Spanish side also fell at this hurdle in Barcelona, who were beaten by Monaco.
The last time Fenerbahce and Panathinaikos came face-to-face in the Euroleague saw us all treated to a spectacular contest, with the Greek side eventually claiming the victory by a 91-90 scoreline.
And when Olympiacos and Monaco last met on the court in the Euroleague, there was something of a shock as Monaco beat the table-toppers 80-77 in Piraeus.
So we should expect two very close semi-finals on Friday, with the third-place play-off and final scheduled to take place on Sunday.
