Denmark vs Northern Ireland

Denmark continue their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign against Northern Ireland on Friday night. The hosts got off to a flying start, beating Finland 3-1, but will need to bounce back after suffering a shock 3-2 defeat at the hands of Kazakhstan. Northern Ireland also head into the tie off the back of a defeat (1-0 against Finland), with a 2-0 victory over San Marino only their third win in 10 matches.

We can’t see anything other than a comfortable Denmark win. Rasmus Hojlund has been in electric form for club and country, scoring 11 in all competitions for Atalanta, as well as five in two Euro 2024 qualifiers thus far. He has a top-quality supporting cast around him, including a very solid defensive outfit. We’re not giving Northern Ireland much of a chance.

Denmark win to nil – 1.78

Norway vs Scotland

Scotland have well and truly shaken up Group A, beating Cyprus 3-0 and Spain 2-0 en route to topping the standings. They travel to Oslo with this newfound confidence, and although they don’t tend to perform as well on the road, we’re expecting another strong showing from Steve Clarke’s side.

In complete contrast, Norway have underwhelmed, losing 3-0 against Spain and only managing to pick up a point against Georgia. Back on home soil we expect them to improve, especially if the reports are true about Erling Haaland featuring for the first time in the competition. It should be a relatively tight affair, with Scotland likely to sit deep and play on the break.

Draw – 3.38

Portugal vs Bosnia and Herzegovina

Portugal sit top of the group after cruising through opening games against Liechtenstein and Luxembourg, scoring 10 and keeping two clean sheets in the process. Their star-studded attacking line-up will feature the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Felix, Rafael Leao and Bruno Fernandes. Bosnia and Herzegovina will do well to keep those names off the scoresheet.

The visitors were well beaten by Slovakia in their previous outing, and although they currently sit just one point adrift of the qualifying places, they will no doubt be eyeing up other fixtures as potential routes to points. There is no doubt they have some talent of their own, but they will struggle to make a real impact with limited possession against a very strong Portugal defence.

Portugal win to nil – 1.74
