Premier League fixtures are back for another round this weekend.
The first Matchday produced little in the way of surprises but we did see some great goals and footballing action.
Ahead of Matchday 2, we have taken an in-depth look at the 10 fixtures and provided four betting tips which can be used in an accumulator with great odds of 17.87.
777 Sport is here for all your Premier League betting needs. We bring the action to your living room with a range of markets and fantastic odds on all the big games.
Southampton to beat Nottingham Forest @ 2.56
It is hard to split these two sides when it comes to the odds, which is understandable really.
Forest drew 1-1 with Bournemouth in their opener, while Southampton were beaten 1-0 at Newcastle, despite the fact the Magpies were reduced to 10 men in the first half.
However, we fancy the Saints to be a different proposition in attack on home soil and to get the better of Forest on Saturday afternoon.
Russell Martin’s side won 15 of their 23 Championship matches at St Mary’s last season and with Forest losing key defender Danilo to injury last weekend, Saints strikers Adam Armstrong and Ben Brereton Diaz may have a far more successful day out.
Fulham to beat Leicester City @ 1.80
Leicester picked up an encouraging draw against Tottenham on Monday night but they may struggle to achieve a positive result this weekend.
The Foxes really fed off the energy of their home crowd to get back into that game, something they will not be able to rely on at Craven Cottage.
And Fulham certainly have the attacking weapons to breach Leicester’s shaky defence, which should have conceded at least four goals against Spurs.
The likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Alex Iwobi and Rodrigo Muniz should have a field day in West London and we can see Marco Silva’s side picking up a comfortable victory to kickstart their 2024-25 season.
Over 2.5 goals scored in Crystal Palace vs West Ham @ 1.74
A London derby which is incredibly hard to call, particularly after both sides suffered 2-1 defeats in their first matches.
Palace were beaten by Brentford, while the Hammers were outclassed somewhat by Aston Villa on their home patch.
Neither side looked convincing defensively last weekend, which is why we are backing goals in this fixture – particularly with Eberechi Eze, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta set to be on show.
And the last time these two teams met at Selhurst Park, seven goals were scored as Palace emerged victorious by a 5-2 scoreline. More of the same please!
Newcastle to beat Bournemouth @ 2.23
Fabian Schar’s red card against Southampton means Newcastle go into this fixture far weaker in defence.
However, they still have the midfield and forward power to beat a Bournemouth side still reeling from the loss of talismanic striker Dominic Solanke to Spurs.
Brazilian centre forward Evanlinson has since been brought in from Porto as his replacement but it may take the Cherries a little while to build momentum in 2024-25.
As such, we can see a more settled Newcastle side picking up three crucial points on the south coast, with Bruno Guimaraes dictating the tempo and key attackers Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon wreaking havoc in the final third.
