Both Club Brugge and Anderlecht enter this fixture on the back of victories.
The two teams played Championship Round games on Thursday and picked up comfortable wins.
Anderlecht defeated Royal Antwerp 3-1 away from home, their third consecutive success, while Club Brugge bounced back from two winless contests against Union Saint-Gilloise to beat Gent 4-1.
As such, we are expecting yet another enthralling contest when these two lock horns, as fixtures between the pair rarely disappoint.
But it is Club Brugge who hold the superior record in recent meetings. In fact, Nicky Hayen’s side have won the last three, including the 2-0 victory on Matchday 1 of this season’s Championship Round.
Club Brugge also thrashed Anderlecht 3-0 away from home on January 12, after picking up a 2-1 home win in October.
So Hayen’s men are the big favourites for the victory here, but Anderlecht’s recent upturn in form and the added tension that comes with any cup final pave the way for a potential upset.
Club Brugge are the record winners of this competition having lifted the trophy 11 times. Anderlecht are looking to close the gap in the record books, having claimed nine previous victories.

But while Anderlecht are billed as huge underdogs, we would not be shocked to see them get on the scoresheet. Dolberg earned a full rest in the 3-1 win at Antwerp, so he can go full throttle at a Club Brugge defence which is strong, but far from impossible to breach. The Danish striker has 18 goals in 28 Pro League matches this season.
