The latest victory means manager David Hubert – who was previously in charge of Anderlecht – and his players have at least kept pressure on new Pro League leaders Club Brugge.

Anderlecht could only muster a 1-1 draw at Gent last Sunday, and the team are now in danger of slipping out of the top four in the Championship Play-Offs.
The Mauves are four without a win in the Pro League, a really concerning run which includes a 3-1 home defeat to Thursday night’s opposition USG.
But Anderlecht did beat USG 1-0 back in November, and as all football fans know, anything can happen in a major cup final.
USG beat Charleroi 4-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals to reach this stage, while Anderlecht claimed an equally impressive 4-1 aggregate triumph of their own – recorded against Royal Antwerp.

Union Saint-Gilloise are the big favourites to claim the win and lift the trophy, priced at 1.71. A victory for Anderlecht is at odds of 4.80, while the draw after 90 minutes is 3.75.
