Aston Villa sit proudly at the top of the table heading into Matchday 4 of the Champions League group stage.
Premier League leaders Liverpool also have nine points and only trail Villa on goal difference, while Manchester City and Arsenal are two points adrift in third and ninth respectively.
With English clubs dominating European football’s marquee competition, our expert tipster has included all four in his latest acca.

Liverpool to beat Bayer Leverkusen – 1.72
Liverpool are flying high at home and abroad under new boss Arne Slot. With just one defeat in all competitions so far, the Anfield faithful appear to have found the perfect man to worship following the departure of Jurgen Klopp. Although Bayer Leverkusen romped to glory in the Bundesliga last season, Xabi Alonso’s men have not yet managed to scale the same heights this term. With home advantage in their favour, it is hard to look beyond a Liverpool win.
Manchester City to beat Sporting Lisbon – 1.80
After back-to-back losses last week, Pep Guardiola must lift Manchester City for a trip to Sporting Lisbon. While Guardiola will argue the 2-1 defeats to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup and Bournemouth in the league have not dented his side’s confidence, they will need to be at their best to overcome Sporting. Like City, the hosts have also picked up seven points from three group games. But with Guardiola desperate to lead the Citizens to Champions League glory for the second time, he will do everything in his power to ensure this game does not turn out to be a banana skin.
Aston Villa to beat Club Brugge – 2.10
Aston Villa are loving being back among the elite and a trip to lowly Club Brugge is unlikely to halt their momentum. While Villa have won three on the spin in the group stage, Nicky Hayen’s side have just one victory to show for their efforts. Hayen will point to the fact they are performing far better in the Jupiler Pro League, but Unai Emery’s men are unlikely to come unstuck in Belgium. While Villa cannot afford to let complacency set in, it would be a shock not to see them head back to the Midlands with maximum points.
Arsenal to beat Inter Milan – 2.85
Considering the wheels have come off Arsenal’s Premier League title bid in recent weeks, this is a bold call by our tipster. The Gunners have picked up just a solitary point from their last three league outings but remain unbeaten in Europe. Just like Inter Milan, the Gunners opened the group stage with a draw before picking up back-to-back victories. Inter have lost just once in Serie A and it will take something special for Mikel Arteta’s side to leave the San Siro with a win. But rightly or wrongly, our man is confident they can do it.
Atalanta to beat Stuttgart – 2.71
Atalanta head to Stuttgart on the back of five straight wins in Serie A and they are unbeaten in the Champions League, with five points on the board. Having lost their opening game, hosts Stuttgart are a point worse off and have also not enjoyed the best of runs in the Bundesliga of late. Although they have only lost once in their last five league outings, their form has been inconsistent to say the least. And that recent run will give Atalanta all the encouragement they need.
