On the domestic front, the capital club has also cemented its dominance by winning a fifth consecutive French league title.
For their part, Arsenal have earned their place in the final. The Gunners had already made a strong impression in the group stage by winning all eight of their matches.
Their run was then more difficult, but the Londoners were able to rely on their defensive solidity. Leverkusen, Sporting and then Atlético Madrid all fell to Mikel Arteta’s side.
The Gunners are therefore back in the Champions League final for the first time since 2006.
